Cooking Recommendations

Hickory Smoked Bone In & Boneless Hams, Smoked Turkeys

Thrushwood Farms are fully cooked. They can be served cold or heated.  To heat place in a preheated 325ºF oven for 10 to 12 minutes per lb.   We usually put a small amount of water in the bottom of the pan to help retain the moisture, and cover.

Beef Roasts

To help retain moisture, add a small amount of water to the bottom of the pan during the cooking process. Use 325ºF oven.  For best results use a meat thermometer. 

Rare reads 140ºF   Medium reads 160ºF  Well reads 170ºF

 Beef Rib Roast Bone In  4 to 6 lbs.

  • Rare          25 min. per lb.
  • Medium      30 min. per lb.
  • Well          35 min. per lb.

Beef Rib Roast Boneless 4 to 6 lbs.

  • Rare          15 min. per lb.
  • Medium      20 min. per lb.
  • Well          25 min. per lb.

Rolled Rump Roast and Sirloin Tip Roast 4 to 6 lbs.

  • Rare          20 min. per lb.
  • Medium      25 min. per lb.
  • Well          35 min. per lb. 

Beef Tenderloin Roast   2 to 4 lbs.

  • Bake in a 425ºF  preheated oven with a small amount of water.
  •  Rare 45 to 60 minutes total

Pork Roasts

Pork Boneless Loin Roast        25 to 30 minutes per lb.
Pork Bone In Roast                25 to 30 minutes per lb.
Crown Roast                          40 minutes per lb.

Cook in 350 degree F oven. Internal temperature should reach 160 degrees F, always use a meat thermommeter.(For best results place an inch or so of water in the bottom of the pan and cover.)

Honey Glazed Sliced Ham

The Thrushwood Farm Honey Glazed Slicedham is fully cooked. You are reheating the ham. Remove all packaging materials and place in a pan.  Heat the ham in a 325 degree oven for 1 to 1/2 hours.  If frozen allow more time. 

Fresh Turkeys

Bake in 350 degree oven in a roasting pan with a small amount of liquid.

Birds up to 6 lbs. and Bone In Breasts        20 minutes per lb.
Larger Birds                                           15 minutes per lb.
